Overview
A Labor Permit is strictly mandatory for Nepalese citizens working abroad. Under the latest July 2026 regulations, the Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has integrated the Social Security Fund (SSF) into the FEIMS portal. It is now 100% mandatory for all migrant workers to enroll in the SSF Foreign Employment Scheme and pay the required contribution before a labor permit is approved.
